The University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (UMSU) continues to expand its international cooperation network by establishing a strategic partnership with Afyon Kocatepe Universitesi (AKU), Turkiye. This cooperation agreement covers the fields of research, teaching, and community service.
In addition to academic cooperation, UMSU also signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for a mobility program supported by Erasmus+. This program focuses on student and lecturer exchanges between UMSU and AKU, providing opportunities for academics and students from both universities to gain broader international experience.
The Chancellor of UMSU stated that this cooperation is a strategic step in improving the quality of education and broadening the academic horizons of the UMSU academic community. “We hope that this collaboration can open up wider opportunities in the fields of research, innovation, and increase the competitiveness of UMSU graduates in the global arena,” he said.
This cooperation is in line with UMSU’s vision to become an internationally competitive university and contribute to the development of science and technology. With the Erasmus+ mobility program, it is expected that more students and lecturers can enrich their academic and cultural experiences at the global level.
The signing of this cooperation is expected to be the beginning of a sustainable collaboration and have a positive impact on both institutions, especially in producing graduates who are ready to compete in the era of globalization.
