UMSU Chancellor Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, was represented by Deputy Chancellor III Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, during a significant event where two students from the FKIP UMSU were selected to participate in the esteemed Sea Teacher program at Central Luzon State University in the Philippines. This release ceremony took place on Monday, November 11, in the UMSU meeting room located at Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.The chosen students, Dwi Oktavianti and Fadhilatul Husna, are currently in their third semester of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) at FKIP UMSU.
They will engage in an exchange program lasting approximately one month, where they will not only apply their teaching skills at partner schools in the Philippines but also gain insights into the educational curriculum of the host country.In his speech, UMSU Deputy Chancellor III Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto emphasized that the Sea Teacher program is a flagship initiative of UMSU that has gained widespread recognition. He encouraged the participating students to maintain a positive attitude while facing challenges during their time in the Philippines, highlighting the importance of adaptability and resilience in their educational journey.This program represents an invaluable opportunity for the students to enhance their teaching competencies and broaden their cultural horizons, contributing to their professional development as future educators.
