Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) is set to represent the institution at the upcoming “INSPIRE Forum” on Tuesday, 1 September 2026. This significant international event will take place at the C.S. Pattani Hotel in Pattani, Thailand.
In this event, UMSU will be represented by Taufik Hidayat, S.S., S.H., M.H., Vickri Febrian, S.Kom., and Nazli Auliya, S.M. Joining the team is Sofeeyah Chesoh,S.Pd an UMSU alumni hailing from Thailand.
The forum focuses on “An Overview of Higher Education Cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand” and features distinguished Keynote Speakers:
* Mrs. Cyti Daniela Aruan — Education Attaché, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok
* Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot — Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, Prince of Songkla University
The event will also feature opening remarks by Mr. Winardi Hanafi Lucky (Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla) and Sub. Lieutenant Sombat Singkarn (Deputy Governor of Pattani Province), followed by panel discussions and networking sessions moderated by Dr. Hafiz Salae (Head of Center for Southeast Asian Maritime States Studies, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus).
Through this participation, UMSU aims to actively engage in panel discussions and partnership matching sessions to strengthen academic cooperation, exchange programs, and institutional partnerships between Indonesian and Thai higher education institutions.
