Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) proudly held a farewell ceremony to officially send off five outstanding students who will participate in the Student Mobility Program Batch 4 at INTI International University. The program serves as part of UMSU’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration and providing students with valuable global learning experiences. The ceremony was led directly by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, who expressed appreciation and encouragement to the selected delegates before their departure to Malaysia.
The Student Mobility Program will take place at INTI International University, one of Malaysia’s prominent higher education institutions known for its international academic environment and multicultural learning atmosphere. Through this program, the participating students will engage in academic exchanges, cross-cultural interaction, and collaborative learning activities with international students and lecturers. The initiative aims to broaden students’ perspectives, improve intercultural communication skills, and enhance their academic competencies in a global context.
The five selected delegates representing UMSU in Batch 4 are Fajar Aulia from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB); Imtiyaz Alnatanisa from Management, FEB; Tengku Aghriphina Listyani from Management, FEB; Reysha Amanda Putri from Sharia Business Management, Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI); and Wahid Ismail from the Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). These students were chosen based on their academic achievements, commitment, and readiness to represent UMSU at the international level.
The program reflects UMSU’s vision of preparing globally competitive graduates through international exposure and academic mobility. By participating in overseas learning activities, students are expected to gain not only academic knowledge but also valuable cultural experiences, networking opportunities, and leadership development. The farewell event also symbolized the university’s support and confidence in the delegates as ambassadors of UMSU who will promote Indonesian culture, academic excellence, and international friendship abroad.
Through this Student Mobility Program, UMSU continues to strengthen its global partnerships and expand opportunities for students to experience international education firsthand. From local classrooms to international horizons, this initiative is expected to become a meaningful bridge of knowledge exchange, cultural understanding, and future collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia while inspiring other students to pursue global academic opportunities.
