Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) took part in the 1st Annual Meeting on Global Academic Collaboration held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The two-day event, organized by Kyungdong University (KDU), South Korea, in collaboration with Tashkent University, gathered representatives from more than 50 partner universities around the world.
UMSU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Fitra Zambak, Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), and Rafieqah Nalar Rizky, M.A, Head of the Office of International Cooperation (OIC). They joined the delegation from Majelis Diktilitbang PP Muhammadiyah and five other Muhammadiyah universities (PTMA) in attending the event.
The meeting aimed to strengthen academic partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration among universities within the Kyungdong University global network. Throughout the sessions, participants discussed potential joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and future academic programs to enhance international engagement.
UMSU’s participation in the 1st Annual Meeting highlights its active role in global academic cooperation and its dedication to building partnerships that foster innovation and mutual growth.
