Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank Syariah Nasional, marking a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between higher education and the Islamic banking industry. The agreement was signed directly by the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Akrim, M.Pd., together with the representative of Bank Syariah Nasional during an official signing ceremony.
The MoU serves as a strategic framework for future collaboration in the areas of education, research, community service, institutional development, and human resource capacity building. It also reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering innovation and creating meaningful partnerships that bridge academia with the professional sector.
Through this partnership, UMSU and Bank Syariah Nasional will explore various collaborative initiatives, including internship programs, guest lectures by industry practitioners, collaborative research, financial literacy programs, professional training, and other academic activities that enrich students’ learning experiences while supporting the advancement of Islamic finance.
This collaboration reinforces UMSU’s commitment to expanding its strategic network with industry partners and producing graduates who are academically excellent, professionally competent, and ready to contribute to the sustainable growth of the Islamic financial ecosystem in Indonesia.
