The University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M UMSU) in collaboration with the Islamic Science University of Malaysia carried out an international community service activity entitled donating to others in an orphanage as a form of fostering a spirit of international collaboration between universities. This activity was carried out at the Walidaina Orphanage Care Center (Pujaywa) Kampung Gedang Pantai, Negeri Sembilan Malaysia, Wednesday (26/9)
This activity is a full support from the Chancellor of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, M.AP towards UMSU World Class University and Internationalization. The activity was attended by the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service Assoc.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fitra Zambak, ST, M.Sc along with the team Assoc.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Said Siregar, M.Si, Dr. Muhammad Irfan Nasution, MM, Dr. Sigit Hardiyanto, M.I.Kom, Dr. Josep Hadipramana, M.Sc, dr. Eka Febriyanti, M.Gizi, Rizky Azura, S.Pd and Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Development, USIM Prof. Dr. Ir. Hafizal Mohamad. Before the activity was carried out, it began with permission from the Walidaina orphanage. This community service activity began with an opening prayer then continued with other activities with the orphanage children.
Head of LP2M UMSU Muhammad Fitra Zambak said that the collaboration that was built was one of the keys for UMSU in facing the dynamics of the development of the era while improving the quality of the catur dharma of Muhammadiyah higher education which could be actualized through cooperation between foreign universities by forming community service activities in order to increase the social responsibility of universities to the community globally.
The administrator of the Walidaina orphanage, Muhammad Zatullah Kamarudin expressed his gratitude for the arrival of UMSU-USIM in providing support and insight assistance to the orphanage children, hopefully this activity will provide positive and sustainable benefits for this orphanage.
