On December 9, 2025, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) successfully organized the Workshop on Scopus Publications and SEM–PLS Modelling, featuring an internationally renowned scholar, Prof. T. Ramayah from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).Conducted at the UMSU Postgraduate Auditorium, the workshop served as an intellectually stimulating and highly interactive forum that brought together academics, researchers, and postgraduate students from various disciplines. The event fostered in-depth discussions on strategies for publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, with a particular emphasis on the application of Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) as a robust analytical approach in high-impact research.
Participants gained valuable insights into research design, model development, data analysis, and manuscript
preparation, guided directly by Prof. Ramayah’s extensive international research and publication experience. Beyond technical knowledge, the workshop also strengthened cross-institutional collaboration and encouraged a culture of academic rigor and global research standards within the UMSU academic community.This workshop marked a strategic milestone for UMSU in advancing research excellence, enhancing publication quality, and reinforcing its commitment to achieving greater international visibility and global academic recognition.
