
Medan, February 21, 2025* – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) held the closing ceremony of the SEA Teacher Program 2025 at the FKIP UMSU Auditorium. The event marked a moment of reflection and farewell for the participants who had completed the teacher exchange program at Al Amjad School Medan as a partner institution.
The event began with a report from the SEA Teacher UMSU Coordinator, *Dr. Hj. Dewi Kesuma, S.S., M.Hum*, who presented the program evaluation and shared valuable experiences gained by the participants throughout the activity. In her report, Dr. Dewi Kesuma highlighted that the 28-day program ran smoothly and provided the students with numerous new experiences during their internship at the partner school.
“We are proud of the achievements of the SEA Teacher 2025 participants. They have shown great dedication in teaching and adapting to different educational environments. We hope that this experience will serve as valuable capital for their future,” she stated.
The closing ceremony was officially concluded by the *Dean of FKIP UMSU, Dra. Hj. Syamsuyurnita, M.Pd.* In her remarks, she expressed her highest appreciation to the CLSU students who participated in the program for one month.
“We hope that the SEA Teacher participants can bring the knowledge and experiences gained during this program to their respective communities. This program is a tangible proof of the importance of collaboration in enhancing the quality of education in Southeast Asia,” said the Dean of FKIP UMSU in her speech.
Additionally, the participants shared their experiences during the program. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn and teach abroad and appreciated the support provided by UMSU and the partner school. They also shared their joy of staying in Medan, captivated by its warmth and hospitality.
It is hoped that this program will continue to strengthen the bonds between universities in the Southeast Asian region.
