
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Vice Rector III, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Rudianto, S.Sos., M.Si, Chief Executive Officer Olivia Fernaza, Chief Financial Officer Edwin P. Simanjuntak, as well as representatives and academic staff from both institutions. This collaboration marks a strategic step in expanding the reach and capacity of the entrepreneurship programs managed by both parties.
Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) and Rumah BUMN Medan officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (August, 6). This partnership aims to strengthen synergies in entrepreneurship development, economic empowerment in North Sumatra, and enhance opportunities for students to engage in training and internships across various state-owned enterprises.
In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Rudianto, S.Sos., M.Si stated, “This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting entrepreneurship development among students and the community.”
Meanwhile, Olivia Fernaza added, “Rumah BUMN Medan is excited to collaborate with UMSU. We believe that through this cooperation, we can jointly drive local economic growth and support small and medium enterprises in North Sumatra.”
The collaboration includes various programs such as entrepreneurship training, internship, mentoring, and access to facilities and business networks provided by Rumah BUMN. This signing event also represents a significant moment in UMSU’s series of activities aimed at enhancing the relevance and impact of educational institutions on economic and social development in North Sumatera.
