Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) participated in the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) Indonesia Chapter and the 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM 9) held in Yogyakarta in 2025, where representatives from universities across Southeast Asia gathered to engage in discussions about internationalizing higher education and integrating artificial intelligence (AI). Driven by the aspiration to realize its vision of becoming a world-class university by 2033, UMSU took part in this important event to strengthen international networks and prepare its graduates for regional and global competition, while also sharing expertise on digital innovation with partners.
During the meeting, UMSU delegates collaborated with ASEAN counterparts, proposed strategies for implementing AI in educational processes, and highlighted the institution’s commitment to excellence, thereby ensuring that the university continues to move forward in alignment with contemporary technological advancements and global standards
