The Faculty of Economics and Business at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (FEB UMSU) successfully held the "2nd Medan International Conference on Economic and Business (MICEB) 2024". The activity held at the UMSU Auditorium on Thursday (4/7) had the theme "Human Resource Transformation and Collaborative Innovation to Build Independent and Comvetitive Business in the Digital Era" and was opened directly by UMSU Chancellor Prof Dr Agussani MAP. This International Conference will present a number of experts from 4 different countries, including; Prof. Dr. Armaru Thoyib SE MSc PhD (Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya Malang), Prof. Madya Dr. Abu Hanifah bin Ayob (University Kebangsaan Malaysia/UKM), Dr. Md. Fouad bin Amin (King Saud University, Saudi Arabia) and Mandy Mok (CEO of AppliedHE Pte Ltd). UMSU Chancellor Prof. Dr. Agussani MAP in his instructions when opening the activity said that MICEB is part of the internationalization program that has been promoted by UMSU and has been held three times. "Of course we must continue to increase these important activities, and we are committed that this MICEB activity will produce not only output, but more than that of course," said Prof. Agussani. He further said, MICEB is a forum for students, lecturers and practitioners to disseminate the results of research that has been carried out. "MICEB is also strategic as a promotional media carried out by FEB UMSU to introduce Study Programs, Faculties and Universities as well as the expertise of their lecturers, not only at the national level, but also internationally," said Prof Agusani. Prof. Agussani also touched on a number of interesting issues discussed in this MICEB forum, including those related to global finance and economics, including inflation due to the impact of Covid, uncertainty about global economic recovery, economic pressure, high debt, interest rate uncertainty and data security regulations. Therefore, Prof. Agussani hopes that MICEB can answer global challenges by contributing scientifically to answer problems that occur at the national and global levels. "Likewise, the paper produced by MICEB can later be used as a reference for lecturers, students, and even the industrial world in responding to economic challenges in particular. "And finally, we hope that MICEB will become part of the international community," said Prof. Agussani
