Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), in collaboration with Institut Français Indonesia (IFI) Jakarta, successfully hosted a special screening of selected French films on Thursday, June 26, as part of the CineCampus program. This cultural and educational initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to experience the richness of French cinema while deepening their understanding of the French language, values, and artistic expression. The screening not only entertained but also served as a meaningful learning platform that bridged global perspectives and cultural appreciation.
The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students across multiple faculties, who actively engaged in post-screening discussions. These conversations explored the film’s underlying social themes and cultural messages, encouraging critical thinking and cross-cultural dialogue among the participants.
By integrating international cultural exposure into the academic environment, UMSU continues to affirm its commitment to fostering globally minded, culturally aware students ready to engage in a diverse and interconnected world.
