On March 11, 2026, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) had the honor of welcoming Hathaichanok Riddhagni Frumau, Chargé d’affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta, along with her delegation for an official visit aimed at strengthening international academic collaboration.
The delegation was warmly received by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, accompanied by the Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, the team from the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation, as well as Vice Deans from various faculties across UMSU. The meeting served as an important platform to reinforce UMSU’s commitment to expanding its global engagement and building meaningful partnerships with international institutions.
During the discussion, both parties exchanged insights and explored potential opportunities for collaboration between UMSU and universities in Thailand. The dialogue covered a wide range of possibilities, including academic exchange programs, joint research initiatives, student and faculty mobility, and other strategic partnerships that could enrich the academic ecosystem of both countries.
The visit created a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere, opening a valuable space for constructive dialogue and future cooperation. Through this engagement, UMSU continues to demonstrate its dedication to strengthening international networks and fostering cross-cultural academic collaboration, particularly with higher education institutions in Thailand.
