The delegation from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) – Rafieqah Nalar Rizky, M.A and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fitra Jambak, S.T., M.Sc, together with representatives from the Council for Higher Education, Research, and Development (Majelis Diktilitbang) of Muhammadiyah Central Board, paid an official visit to the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on October 30, 2025.
The visit was warmly welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Prof. Dr. Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin who expressed great appreciation for Muhammadiyah’s continuous efforts in strengthening educational and cultural collaboration at the international level.
The discussions focused on enhancing academic partnerships, promoting Indonesian education in Central Asia, and exploring potential collaborations between Muhammadiyah universities and Uzbek institutions.
The visit was part of UMSU’s internationalization agenda and Muhammadiyah’s commitment to expanding its global network in education, research, and innovation. The warm hospitality and fruitful discussion at Wisma KBRI Tashkent marked another meaningful step in fostering Indonesia–Uzbekistan educational relations.
