On Friday, November 15, 2024, the Language Center (PUSBA) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) in collaboration with EducationUSA successfully held an Inspirational Sharing Session to commemorate International Education Week 2024. The event took place in the VIP Room of UMSU, located on Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.
This program served as a platform to introduce students and learners in Medan to international educational opportunities at leading universities in the United States (US). It aimed to inspire participants to explore pathways to global education and broaden their academic and cultural horizons.
The event was officially opened by Vice Rector III, Assoc. Prof. Rudianto, M.Si, and featured prominent international speakers, including:
- Seohyun ‘Luke’ Yim, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC) for East Asia and the Pacific at EducationUSA.
- Dimas Samudra, EducationUSA Adviser for Indonesia.
Both speakers shared valuable insights on accessing quality education in the United States, discussing topics such as application processes, scholarships, cultural adaptation, and the benefits of studying abroad. The event fostered engaging discussions and provided participants with practical guidance to pursue higher education in the US.
This session not only marked UMSU’s commitment to advancing international education but also strengthened its collaboration with global partners to open pathways for students toward achieving their academic and career aspirations.
