The Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to China, Jauhar Oratmangun, at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing on Monday (2/6). The meeting was part of a series of official visits by UMSU to China which took place from 29 May to 5 June 2025, at the invitation of the Chinese Consulate General in Medan. UMSU was represented by Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, who joined a delegation of university leaders, Islamic boarding school figures, media personnel, and administrators of INTI (Indonesian Chinese Association) of North Sumatra. In the meeting which took place warmly and enthusiastically, Ambassador Jauhar conveyed the importance of building sustainable cooperation between Indonesia and China, especially in the fields of education, culture, and civil society. He also expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Muhammadiyah and the universities under its auspices, including UMSU, in strengthening international relations through grassroots diplomacy.
