Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) proudly hosted the closing ceremony of the Teacher Training: Practical Teaching Strategies program—an inspiring event that marked the culmination of a transformative academic journey dedicated to enhancing the quality of English language teaching in Indonesia. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudianto, M.Si., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, as well as Mr. Bernard Uadan, Consul General of the United States in Medan, whose attendance highlighted the strength of international academic collaboration and mutual support in professional development.
UMSU extends its highest appreciation to Magdalena Rojas Lynch, English Language Fellow, for her outstanding role in leading the program. She not only introduced the participants to the work of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) Jakarta, but also shared a wide range of free teaching resources, training programs, and exchange opportunities available to English educators across Indonesia.
In addition to her contributions as a trainer, Magdalena played an invaluable role as both mentor and facilitator throughout the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) component of the program, demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and deep commitment to empowering local educators.
✨ Congratulations to all participants for completing this meaningful journey. May the knowledge, skills, and insights gained from this program become a strong foundation for your continued academic and professional growth—and may the spirit of collaboration continue to thrive beyond borders.
