Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara hosted an inspiring sharing session titled Research Methodology – Qualitative Approach with Halida Zhea, a final-year student from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, in the FEB International A class on July 1, 2025.
In a session that echoed the spirit of a TEDtalk, Zhea shared her journey from quantitative to qualitative research to explore complex social issues—such as the struggles of Rohingya women and the failure of the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) framework. Through a warm, personal delivery, she reminded participants that data isn’t just numbers—but stories, emotions, and lived experiences.
With practical tips, emotional reflections, and real-world applications in HR, UX, and management, this session provided valuable insight and motivation to final-year students navigating the ups and downs of thesis writing.
