
Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), in collaboration with the United States Consulate in Medan, successfully hosted a Study Abroad Engagement Grant (SAEG) Capacity Building Workshop aimed at enhancing institutional strategies for academic internationalization and fostering broader opportunities for global academic collaboration. The workshop served as a strategic platform to equip faculty members with the knowledge, tools, and networks necessary to engage in international academic initiatives, student mobility programs, and cross-border partnerships.

Distinguished speakers, including Jacob Hosier and Dr. I Made Andi Arsana, shared insights on best practices in global education, intercultural engagement, and international research collaboration, providing valuable perspectives to support UMSU’s efforts toward becoming a globally connected university. The event was held on Thursday, April 24, in the UMSU VIP Room, and was attended by faculty leaders, international affairs officers, and academic stakeholders committed to advancing the university’s global vision.
