Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), in partnership with the United States Consulate in Medan, organized a Capacity Building Workshop under the Study Abroad Engagement Grant (SAEG) initiative, specifically designed for faculty members. The workshop aimed to enhance institutional capacity in implementing effective academic internationalization strategies while also identifying and expanding opportunities for cross-border academic collaboration and scholarly exchange.
Held on Thursday, April 24, in the UMSU VIP Room, the event brought together academic leaders and international affairs representatives, featuring keynote presentations by Jacob Hosier and Dr. I Made Andi Arsana—two prominent figures in international education and global engagement. Their sessions offered insightful guidance on fostering intercultural competence, building sustainable international partnerships, and aligning higher education practices with global standards. This workshop reflects UMSU’s continued commitment to advancing its global academic presence and strengthening its role in the international higher education community.
