The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FIKTI), Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) and the Vocational School of Pakuan University, Bogor, agreed to collaborate by signing a memorandum of understanding on Thursday (30/1) at the UMSU FIKTI Building, 7th Floor, Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3 Medan.
The collaboration includes education, research, publications, internships and other collaborations, as an effort to improve the quality of education at both institutions.
In his speech, the Dean of FIKTI Dr. Al-Khowarizmi, M.Kom, expressed his appreciation for this visit and hoped that the existing cooperation could bring benefits to both parties.
Meanwhile, officials representing the Dean of the Pakuan Bogor University Vocational School expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and enthusiasm of FIKTI UMSU.
After the signing, the meeting continued with an intensive discussion for two hours regarding the cooperation implementation plan. Both parties agreed to immediately follow up on this collaboration through coordination between study programs. Apart from that, this meeting is also an opportunity to share experiences and best practices in managing higher education.
This benchmarking visit is part of the two institutions’ efforts to improve the quality of education and the relevance of the curriculum to industry needs. FIKTI UMSU and Pakuan Bogor University Vocational School have the same vision in preparing graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the digital era.
By signing this cooperation agreement, it is hoped that a strong synergy will be created between FIKTI UMSU and the Pakuan Bogor University Vocational School. Both parties are committed to continuing to establish mutually beneficial collaboration for the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
