PermataBank Syariah Sharia Supervisory Board Prof. Dr. H. Jaih Mubarak, S.E., M.H., M.Ag and team visited the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (UMSU) in order to foster friendship and explore cooperation. The visit was held on Tuesday (3/6) at the VIP Room of the UMSU Campus, Jalan Muchtar Basri No.3 Medan.PermataBank Syariah Sharia Supervisory Board, Prof. Jaih Mubarak, S.E., M.H., M.Ag, who attended directly from Jakarta, appreciated the warm welcome from UMSU. In his remarks, he conveyed the importance of the role of sharia supervisors in carrying out the mandate of financial literacy to the community, as regulated by the OJK.
“This is my first time at UMSU. Extraordinary, thank you for the welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully, in the future we can collaborate in holding activities at UMSU to expand literacy and community service,” explained Prof. Jaih.The supervisory board conveyed the opportunities for cooperation that were established in the form of exploring opportunities for collaboration such as community service and entrepreneurship development in the campus environment, providing scholarships, internship programs and community card-based tuition payments.
“This collaboration is expected to not only support the development of the student economy, but also provide long-term benefits without causing harm,” he said.Welcoming the opportunity, previously the Chancellor of UMSU Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP represented by Vice Chancellor I Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum conveyed that what was discussed in this gathering could lead to collaboration in the future “Of course, we feel that this meeting is very valuable. Thank you, Prof. for your presence. Hopefully, synergy and togetherness will be built, filling each other’s roles in the collaboration later,” hoped the Vice Chancellor I.
On this occasion, he also introduced potential human resources at UMSU and became UMSU’s commitment to encourage its teaching staff to study higher to the doctoral level. Then, Vice Rector I gave an overview of the management study programs that have all been accredited as superior and the plan for the 2027 Muhammadiyah Congress to be held at the UMSU integrated campus. Also present were Deputy Dean III of FAI Dr. Munawir Pasaribu, S.Pd.I, M.A, Deputy Dean III of FEB Dr. Hasrudy Tanjung, S.E., M.Si, Head of Study Programs and Head of Bureau at UMSU.
